What will happen, if I install a test version of SF8 in parallel to my most recent SF6?
Will SF6 survive or will it be destroyed?

Re: both SF6 and SF8 on one PC
Hi there
SilverFast will "survive", there are certain scanners for which we had to program a new implementation of the drivers. Although SilverFast 6 and 8 can be installed in the same machine, only one of the drivers might remain, which means only one version will work correctly.
Nikon scanners are one example of those for which we re-programmed the drivers.
Cheers

Re: both SF6 and SF8 on one PC
On a MAC it is possible to run both Silverfast 6.6 and Silverfast 8.0 at the same time. That is what I have to do until two show stopping trouble tickets are resolved. It is a good thing I did not deinstall 6.6 prior to the "upgrade" to 8.0 - once 8.0 is downloaded the 6.6 key no longer works to download the older version.
