Batch scanning

Postby MicroSF6 » Wed Feb 25, 2004 2:49 am

I have the Microtek ArtixScan 120tf. When I batch scan, I prescan, then choose standard mode and activate the auto color button. The prescan looks great, but when all 4 images are scanned, the auto color button does not seem to affect the remaining 3 images. I then have to rescan them. Is there a way of activating auto color on all 4 images to be scanned?

Thanks, Julie

there is a preference setting which applies to this. you may have it turned off.

on the General panel, click on the Options button to bring up the preferences window.

click on the Auto tab to show the Auto panel.

near the bottom of the list is a checkbox for something like "Automatic when ADF". turn it on.

there is also a checkbox for "Auto Contrast". if you like auto contrast, turn this on too.

cheers,
Gregory

another MicroSF6

Hi there, and no worry,

I am another user with the name MicroSF6. I received this name when downloading SF updates. Webmaster says that double Usernames are no problem. My Username MicrosSF6 is not a personal one - what ever that means. It has only one purpose - to download SilverFast updates.

But I am also able to log in to Discussions forums and I get notice of every topic you post MicroSF6 No 1.

So do not worry MicrosSF6 No1 when you will get informed of a new topic placed by me MicroSF6 No 2. Ah, forgot to say, my name is Flo (known as MicroSF6 No1).

Maybe Webmaster can join this discussion........

Dear MicroSF6,

please take into account that the "username" you've got to download SilverFast updates is not intended to be used e.g. in our forum. When refering to "no problem with duplicate usernames" I meant that not only you alone may receive the same username. Those kinds of usernames are not to be used in forum, please choose another one and mail it to http://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html together with your new password.

Batch scanning with excact duplicate info (Epson 4870)

Postby KlausLucka » Tue Jun 08, 2004 9:54 pm

Epson 4870 silversoft Ai
I shoot mostly panoramas (Noblex 150 - negative) and need to have each negative with exactly the same colors and density.

For now I switched off all the automatic funtions, especially the sharpening mask, since if falcifies the final image, put on the save function to avoid any changes between the various scans.

having problem scanning 3 frames 6X12 in the batch mode exactly the same, it doesn't let me make exact dulpicates of the calibration inputs, only manually but there are to many chances for errors. So for now I scan one page (3 negatives 6X12) rather than batch scan, than divede them later into induvidual files. Is there any way to duplicate the exact calibration settings into each negative window?

Hi - I get the same issue when using a Nikon LS5000, and yes I select the the "Automatic with ADF" but makes no difference.
