It's a small but annoying problem that existed in SF Ai 5 and follows me now to version 6.
While looking at the color histograms in the Negafix expert dialog, manually moving the endpoints of the individual color traces has an immediate and obvious effect on the appearance of the preview image. I use this feature quite often.
Monochrome images do not respond this way. After the initial "Auto" adjustment, moving the ends of the histogram has no effect whatever on the preview image.
SF Ai version 6. Photoshop plugin. Microtek Scanmaker-5. PhotoShop 6.01. Windows 98SE on a 1.8 GHZ Pentium 4. 512 mb RAM. Lots of disk space.
Thanks.

Here's an update on my observation regarding the NegaFix histogram and monochrome images.
I had assumed that what I experienced was peculiar to my scanner model and operating setup. Perhaps not.
I have just started using SF HDR. I observe the very same behavior. - No change in the preview image when making manual Negafix adjustments on a monochrome image.
