48 bit in SilverFast 6.4

Postby J. L. Jones » Sun Jun 19, 2005 5:45 am

I've just installed SE V6.4.2r1c for the Epson 4990. The 48 bit colour option is "grayed out" and only 48 bit HDR is available for scanning in 48 bit. Negative files scanned in HDR are negative images, complete with mask.

How can I do one of the following: activate scanning in 48 bit colour, or convert the HDR scan to a positive image, removing the mask?

Thanks,

J. L. Jones

Dear J. L. Jones

https://www.silverfast.com/show/compare-ai-vs-se/en.html
SilverFast SE does not offer this capability.

The purpose to scan in HDR mode is to work with an uncorrected or unchanged (kind of raw CCD information) image file in SilverFast HDR / DCPro lateron.
The negative to positive conversion is to be made then.

Therefore your only solution is to upgrade to Ai or to purchase HDR.
