"Save Frame-Set" not doing anything

Hello all,

I'm trying to set up a template frame-set for scanning four 4x6 prints. I get everything set up, frame placement, resolution, etc. but when I go to save it under 'General' and 'Frame-set, save' and give it a name nothing happens. The name for the settings I just typed is not listed in the drop down menu and when I start the program again it is not listed in the drop down menu, making me have to redo all the settings again.

Once the frame-set did save, but I had to delete it becasue one setting was wrong. I have no idea how it saved, but I can't save anymore now.

I've also tried savings settings under the 'Frame' tab and in the 'Options' menu, and nothing is saving.

Am I missing something?

(I'm using SilverFast Ai v6.2.0r7 on a WindowsXP Professional machine)

I'm not sure if this will help you or not.

the Frame Set only saves two things: the scanning frame position/size, and the Setting (under the Frame panel). the Setting in turn does not save the scanning frame position/size.

to save a Frame Set, try saving all of your resolution, colour, rotation/orientation, ICE, etc settings in the Setting popup. then save the Frame Set.

if that doesn't work, try using a Frame Set name that uses plain characters. you're probably already doing this but it's just another thing to try. note though that I regularly use characters like the bullet without any problems.

Thanks for the reply. After I posted this message I uninstalled and re-installed SF and I can suddenly everything is saving with no problem. I am afraid the same problem may happen again in the future (computers tend to do random things when I use them) so I will keep your suggestions in mind. Thank you for posting them.
