Hi,

I've only been using the software a relatively short time, so please excuse any stupid questions.

I'm attempting to batch prescan and scan filmstrips with my Minolta Dimage Scan 5400. The workflow that I'm using is to open Overview, let Silverfast scan each thumbnail, then close the dialog to make individual edits. I get that Silverfast doesn't seem to batch prescan all the frames, and requires me to advance each frame in turn and click the Prescan button (unless I'm mistaken?). I could live with this, but what I'm finding is that when I step between frames, I'm not seeing prescans I've just created – instead, Silverfast requires me to prescan again before I can see the frame. In the preview window, the number 1 is shown at all times – I'm guessing it's overwriting frame 1's prescan each time.

I've had limited success with Batch Scan too – in the majority of cases, Silverfast will scan the same frame repeatedly, outputting the same image 6 times. I can't work out if this is a software bug, some kind of communication issue with the scanner or simple user error. Whatever it is, I don't know how it's being reproduced so I'm having trouble narrowing it down.

Dear user,

Please make sure you are using the latest update from our website.
The option for the batch prescan is located in the preference's Special tab.
The issue you describe also has been fixed some time ago.
