OS X 10.5.6, Silverfast (6.4.4r7a), and Dimage Multi Pro

Hello,

I have been scanning successfully with my K-M Dimage Multi Pro under OS X 10.5.5 and using Silverfast 6.4.4r7a.

But I want to upgrade to OSX 10.5.6. Can someone confirm that the Multi Pro and Silverfast 6.4.4r7a are compatible with 10.5.6?

Many thanks!

Dear rwbowman,

unfortunately I can only confirm that SilverFast 6.4 is not officially supported for Mac OSX 10.5.
Especially in 10.5.6 you might experiance problems due to incompatibilities.
I suggest you test this in a VM or separate 10.5.6 installation (maybe on a external FireWire/USB) first).

kind regards
Arne Ketelhohn.

What are the plans, if any, to update the software for Multi Pro? Is 6.4 going to be the last update, or will we be getting a 6.6 version?

Thanks.

Dear MinoltaSF6

There is a 6.6 version of SilverFast for the Minolta Dimage Multi Pro, however this is also not compatible with Leopard. There are no plans to officially support this scanner under Leopard because the scanner works extremely slow.

Thank you for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience.
