Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III

Postby waldmaus » Thu Jan 30, 2003 9:01 pm

I suppose Minolta Scanners are very widespread because of their affordable price. That?s exactly why I cannot understand that the number one company in scanning software doesn?t support Minolta products.

I guess I am not the only one looking forward to Minolta support.

Stefan :(

Support for my Minolta Scan Dual III is not "here." When going to the above link, my scanner is not listed as supported or possibly supported. When will this very good and affordable scanner be supported?

Thank-you.

Any news when the Scan Dual III will be supported?

Postby DF » Sun Oct 05, 2003 9:57 pm

My primary scanner is the Minolta Scan Dual III.

Why is this not supported?

Will it be added soon as a supported product?

DS III supported now, how?

Postby jcr » Mon Oct 13, 2003 1:07 pm

The Dual Scan III is now in the list of supported products, but it is not clear what product actually supports it because when you try the demo there is no demo that supports it, what do i have to do to try Ai with the DSIII???

Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III

Postby faucille » Mon Nov 03, 2003 10:16 pm

According to jcr, the Dimage Scan Dual III was listed as a supported product. Unfortunately, it is no longer so. Silverfast SE came with my Epson 3200, but before I upgrade to AI, I want to make sure the software is compatible with my Minolta scanner. Can we expect support for the Scan Dual III in the near future? If so, when? Thanks in advance for any reply.

Dear noah11027.

Thank you for the interest in our SilverFast Software.

We are planning on supporting the Scan Dual III with Silverfast but development will take a couple more weeks. I will inform the development and product manager about the increasing number of requests here in the forum.
I will post the good news here once it is available.

Kind regards.

LSI_Rossee,

Thanks for working on support for the Scan Dual III. Like others on this forum, I too have been waiting for Scan Dual III support before I purchase SilverFast. Please add my request to the list!

Thanks,

2 weeks

Postby jcr » Wed Feb 25, 2004 6:44 pm

The III appeared in that page one day and then it wasn't there anymore, which is ok because it is NOT supported. LSI_Rossee said in Dec 2003 that they were working on it and that it would take another 2 weeks... 2 months after it is still not there...

I am fed up waiting for LSI support for the Dual 3. I shall remove them from my 'Favourites' and forget all about it.

Dear All.

We now support the Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual III and DiMAGE Scan Dual IV filmscanners.

Both are priced EUR 228,- incl. optional IT8 calibration and the necessary 35mm target.

SilverFast Ai and demo versions are available --> Minolta/433/en.html">http://www.silverfast.com/product/Minolta/433/en.html

Have a nice day !

very high price

Postby noah11027 » Tue Sep 14, 2004 5:42 pm

Hallo,

i'm sorry, but i'm a little bit dissapointed about the very expensive pricing, 228$ is the nearly same amount as the price for the scanner itself.
Are there any price specials in planing with minolta? I'm waiting a long time for the DSIII Support, but i guess i dont wanna buy it. I guess it's better to buy a new Scanner with a Siverfast Bundle.
