Once again, the update has made naming files during Batch Scanning even harder

Hi, I have several obstacles preventing me from a simple workflow. A couple of these obstacles are new, after the most recent update. Others are over 1.5 years old: http://forum.silverfast.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11945&p=38334#p38334 I will group the new and the old obstacles together, as it...

Re: Automatic iSRD?

Hmm... so that preference has been checked: http://i.imgur.com/ExBIdxK.png So I go to the Overview, add multiple frames to the Job Manager, and then automatically there's a preview of the first frame. No IR scan is done. I hit the iSRD button, and this appears: http://imgur.com/0TogW0J If I hit the ...

Automatic iSRD?

Hi, I am scanning lots of old negatives on a Nikon Coolscan 4000, and almost all of them have dust and scratches. I like the iSRD function, but is there a way to skip the initial iSRD scan? Just make it automatically apply iSRD to every frame when scanning them in?

Thanks!

Re: Problem with Jobmanager after update to Version 8.5.0r3

So, my solution has been to make a "dummy" file, which has the root name I would like, but with no index number. Then I put this "dummy" in the same folder as my scans, like so: Screen Shot 2015-07-22 at 2.25.40 PM.png So when I go to batch scan, I can click on the dummy file, an...

Re: Copying Histogram settings to another frame

Hi, I'm just seeing if this was indeed fixed in the newest update? I updated to Silverfast version 8.5.0r6 and the problem seems to remain. To be clear: all I want is to be able to use the Auto CCR function on one image, and then take the new settings of that image and paste them onto a different im...

Re: Copying Histogram settings to another frame

This is a related, but bigger problem: I can't seem to copy any of the imaging information (Histogram, Gradation, Color Correction) from one frame to another. This is necessary for scanning in panoramas. I used to be able to scan in one half of the pano, hit the Auto CCR button, then copy-and-paste ...

Re: Copying Histogram settings to another frame

Ah, I beg to differ. All of the photos I am scanning in are, essentially, panoramas. They are negatives that are wider than the scan area of my Nikon Coolscan 4000. So I must scan one half and then the other half. Those halves must match, of course. I like Silverfast's Auto Adjustments, but sometime...

Re: Problem with Jobmanager after update to Version 8.5.0r3

Dear customer, This due to a change that we made to preserve dates and indexes in file names. We will correct this in a coming update. Kind regards, Arne Ketelhohn. I'm having a problem with the indexing names in the Batch Scan dialog box: It used to be that when I clicked on a previous scanned ima...

Re: Automatic FrameSet?

Yes, I did see that, and that's what I've been using. Guess I'll keep going at that for now... can I make a feature request for Automatic Frame Set though?

Copying Histogram settings to another frame

So I updated to Silverfast 8.5.0r3, which has the new Job Manager in it. It used to be that when I copy-and-pasted settings from one frame to another, it would include the Histogram settings. Now that doesn't happen any more, and I have to type in the histogram settings by hand, AFTER doing a previe...

Default settings for new Copy-And-Paste-Settings Panel?

I've updated to Silverfast 8.5.0r3, which has an updated Job Manager, including an overhauled Copy-and-Paste-Settings box. Right now several of the options in that box are automatically checked, which is great, but one of them is NOT "Apply image automatics (Auto)" which I need on for ever...

Automatic FrameSet?

Hi — I'm doing a scanning process on a Nikon Coolscan 4000, where I need the maximum frame size for every negative I scan. Right now I every time I put in a negative I have to choose "Maximum Frame Size" by hand. I know there is a way to have certain saved Settings applied automatically ev...
