Re: The image is too big

Dear user The issue mentioned earlier in this ticket has been solved in our current version. However this does not change the fact that the Scanner itself can not deliver image data larger then 4GB. That is a hardware limitation. So in 48->24 Bit mode the image size is limited to 2GB. Kind regards, ...

Eventuell ...

Re: Underexposed slides?

Dear user,

devices supporting exposure adjustment offer analog gain in the preferences' special tab.
Please note that this is only possible for positive scans and when Multi-Exposure is deactivated.

Kind regards,
Arne

Dear user,

have you compare uncompressed image formats?
Some image sizes and content can be compressed better then others. So this can not be compared correctly.

Kind regards,
Arne.

Re: Keeps crushing at certain settings on 120 film

Dear user,

The v600 has an internal memory limit of 4GB and can not deliver larger files.
Please switch to the 48 Bit or 48 Bit HDR RAW output and check the estimated file size.
This should not be over 4GB.

Also make sure you have the latest update installed.

Kind regards,
Arne

Dear Leon,

Please make sure you are using the latest SilverFast 8.8 update.

Re: I don't understand IT8 reference files

Dear user, there is no certain way to do this because it also greatly depends on your device. If you have a flat bed device make sure it is clean. You can also use a hand measured high-precision target. But it also is not necessary to actively try to get the the delta E below 1. The Delta E is often...

Re: Resolution Target questions

Dear user you can use the 100% view directly in SilverFast. Simply activate the HQ mode in one of the tools but make sure all image altering tools (especially USM) are deactivated. If you use an external viewer make sure it dose not apply any kind of software sharpening. The Preset does not matter. ...

Re: Plustek 7300 & Silverfast 6.6 on Windows 10 64-bit

Dear user,

Upgrading to SilverFast 8 is the only valid solution we can offer. You can test our demo first to make sure the scanner works correctly. Also make sure you install the latest 64 Bit drivers from the Plustek site for version 8.
