LaserSoft logo superimposed on scanned images

Help!, Please. i'm using SE 6 standard on a G4 Powerbook, Panther 10.3.9, with an Epson Perfection 4990 scanner. The LaserSoft Logo is suddenly being superimposed on any scanned image. What's the deal? How do i remove it?

you are working in demo mode (perhaps the serial number file had been corrupted for whatever reason).
