Minolta 5400 64-bit version?

Minolta 5400 64-bit version?

Any idea when Vista 64-bit version will be available for Minolta 5400? I have no plans to buy 32-bit O/S just to use scanning software.

At the present it is not possible to use the scanner in question under Vista 64, because (as you might know) the manufacturer discontinued the scanner production as well as any new software/drivers update. Without any compatible driver the task of communicating with the scanner is not feasible.
Most likely Minolta might not produce any compatible driver for your operating system which would allow a reasonable control of the scanner.
Should this situation change in the future we will announce it on our newsletter.
An apology for any inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.
