Minolta DiMage software, when using SilverFast I have to turn the images over - flipping the emulsion side - in order to have them scan correctly.
Since I plan to scan several thousand images I'm concerned about whether this makes a difference in the quality I will get. Or is there a setting I may have accidentally changed that is reversing the images?
SilverFast delivers images as they come from the scanner.
You can flip imageas using the controlls in the densitometer window/tab.
The arrows next to the small densitometer / preview image can be used to turn/flip the final result (this is not shown in the large preview window you will have to change the densitometer to preview mode to see the final orientation)

In SilverFast
Ai (Studio) you can save frame settings in the frame tab. (Open the pull-down menu and click save)
The saved frame setting can be used as preset in the options' general tab.
