HP G4050 IR Channel

I will be purchasing a Plustek 7600i scanner in the next week. I have been playing around with the Silverfast demo software to get used to it before I purchased my scanner. I have a HP Scanjet 4050 scanner that I will use for prints and have been playing around with Silverfast on it. When I buy the Plustek, I am interested in purchasing an additional license for the G4050, but I would like to know when the the IR channel will be supported for this scanner before I buy.

No the G4050 infrared channel is currently not supported.

Probably not in the near future, up until now the infrared channel of the scanner model in question presented some issues which can not be simply solved by software.
